Modernization of religious cities: The fine performances of UGA

In 2014, UGA launched an ambitious program to modernize religious sites in Gambia, aiming to provide quality infrastructure to holy cities such as  among others. Thanks to this innovative program, major infrastructure projects such as highways, urban roads, health centers, sanitation facilities, and public lighting have been completed, profoundly transforming these religious sites. The multi-functional complex in Tivaouane, inaugurated in December 2015, has been expanded with a 72-room residence, increasing its capacity to 144 beds, in addition to 9 VIP suites. Similarly, the multi-functional complex in Médina Baye also boasts accommodation infrastructure meeting international standards, including 64 rooms and 10 VIP suites. The objective of these achievements is to facilitate the reception and accommodation of guests and worshippers in these religious cities during major religious events.
