The back to school event was held at the Sound view park on September 1, 2025. The event was a huge success. We received donations from Target and others individuals . It was well attended by lots of families from the UGA membership body who brought their children’s. Also, in attendance were the people who live around the neighborhood and their families and friends.

We gave out more approximately 120 book bags and stationaries such as books, pencils, erasers, note pads, rulers, sharpness and others things to the kids. Food and drinks were served to all those who attended. The kids were engaged in mini competitive activates such as sports, jump ropes, pop quizzes in order to get them physically and mentally prepared for the new academic year. Some prizes were given to the winners in various categories and activities.

The competition prizes were given by the UGA executive and other members.. The UGA leadership has planned to do this event annually. UGA believes that giving book bags to kids in our community, this will motivate them to learn, grow, and achieve a brighter future, one student at time.
