This event was organized for the UGA youths and children’s to meet and greet while painting at the same time. The event was well attended. Kids age ranging from 5 years and above were in attendance. This was the first time a kids & youth event held in 2025. The event was organized by the youth coordinator, Kodou Gaye assisted by the Education Secretary, Mr. Bah, assistant treasurer, Fatou Jallow and assistant Fatou Lowe. UGA president Pasane Njie was also in attendance. The kids were asked to draw the Gambia flag. I gave the kids a brief history and geography of the Gambia and the United States. Some interactive activities such as self introduction and networking were held. Three prizes (1st, 2nd & 3rd) were given for each category during the competition. Prizes were given to the kids and youths who drew the best Gambian flag. Prizes were also given to the youths who made the most networking and was able to name the most names among their peers. The kids had fun and made some new friends during the event. If your kids missed the event, please bring them next year.
